This was the second meeting of the new board. Some general "housekeeping" business was discussed - by-laws, committee assignments, etc.
Also, the plans for the June 11th Jambalaya Lunch in the park were discussed. The lunches will be served beginning at about 11 a.m., and are free to paid members of the Civic Association, so members - please mark your calendars, bring your chairs and come meet your neighbors! Residents who have not paid the dues for this year may pay at the lunch.
Also, there are many residents who have not signed up at this website. Residents must register in order to receive e-mail updates of neighborhood news. If your neighbors have not yet registered, please encourage them to do so!
And finally - some of our neighborhood young ones are operating lawn service businesses for the summer. One has already been posted in the Bulletin Board section of the site; others are welcome to do so. There is no charge for these notices of summer services being offered by our young neighbors. If you offer lawn services, baby-sitting or other similar services, please e-mail the details to iejtonline@cox.net to be placed on the bulletin board. If you are looking for someone to do your yard, do babysitting, etc. please remember to check our bulletin board!
